The Feminist Library is seeking a proactive and highly organised person to join our small team in the role of Communications Coordinator.
Founded in 1975, the Feminist Library is a large collection of feminist literature based in Peckham, South East London. We are a library and community space and we support research, activist and community projects. We have created and continue to maintain one of the most important collections of feminist material in the UK, and provide an inspiring learning and social space. The library works non-hierarchically and by consensus, trying to avoid traditional top down structures. We hold collective meetings each month to discuss the day to day running of the library.

Ethos aligning with the Feminist Library is a must.
You can access the Feminist Library’s Community Policy, Equality Diversity Policy and Health & Safety Policy here. You can also read a recent statement on trans-inclusivity and accountability here. In line with these statements and with ongoing work within the organisation, as well as the team’s desire that it remains a space for all, we strongly encourage applications from marginalised and/or historically oppressed groups, as well as applicants from the local area of South East London and those who have had non-typical work experience pathways.
