September Friends Scheme Prize Draw – Zinzi Clemmons ‘What We Lose’
We are delighted to have the support of author Zinzi Clemmons, and her publisher, Harper Collins, who have given Friends of the Feminist Library a signed copy of her debut novel ‘What We Lose’ in an exclusive offer. Friends don’t have to do anything: winners will be picked at random! What We Lose is the debut novel of American author Zinzi Clemmons. From an author of rare, haunting power, a stunning novel about a young African-American woman coming of age–a deeply felt meditation on race, sex, family, and country.
We will be holding the prize draw on Saturday 15th September, at our Summer Fayre, and one lucky winner will receive a copy.
To be entered into the draw sign up to become a Friend of the Library: https://feministlibrary.charitycheckout.co.uk/friend#!/
About ‘What We Lose’:
Raised in Pennsylvania, Thandi views the world of her mother’s childhood in Johannesburg as both impossibly distant and ever present. She is an outsider wherever she goes, caught between being black and white, American and not. She tries to connect these dislocated pieces of her life, and as her mother succumbs to cancer, Thandi searches for an anchor–someone, or something, to love.
