Weaving Words workshop

Welcome to The Pubis Project ‘Weaving Words’ workshop at The Feminist Library, using strings to reconstruct the words and verses in your mother tongues!In this workshop, the facilitator Ann will guide you to make a weaving poem using cotton thread and paper on a frame. You will explore the intersection of zines, text, and weaving, connecting memories, emotions, and spaces.This event is a preheating section of the first issue of Pubis Magazine, which exhibits Chinese women’s diasporic experiences concerning space, mother tongues and youth memories with the theme of ‘Rooms’. The magazine will meet everyone soon in mid-October in the library (Stay tuned!). Pubis Project (@pubis_project) is an indie publishing and collective learning project for Chinese feminist and Queer diasporas.No previous weaving experience is required, all materials are provided. The library is accessible and step-free.Let’s weave together our stories into a collective memory!
