Feminist Library on Loan at The Showroom – July-Aug 2018

During July and August the Feminist Library was in residence at contemporary art space The Showroom gallery, near Edgware Road. Minna Haukka, the Feminist Library’s current artist in residence created a new art installation for the space, taking inspiration from the Library’s fascinating collection. We also ran a programme of workshops, in creative writing in multicultural societies, women’s history, and zine making for young people, and produced two new zines.
We finished it all with a brilliant closing party, with performances, tasty food and feminist cocktails!

Thanks to everyone at The Showroom Gallery, the participants and workshop facilitators, and all the staff and volunteers from the Feminist Library who made this possible.

The Feminist Library on Loan at The Showroom was part of Create Church Street, which seeks to engage the local area with the arts. Funded by Westminster City Council.
