Spanish Book Club: North African Feminism

En el Club de Lectura y Escritura en Español nos reunimos el último miércoles de cada mes a las 7 de la tarde, para dialogar sobre temas feministas y de literatura. Todos los niveles de habla en español son bienvenidxs.
The Spanish Book and Writing Club meets on the last Wednesday every month at 7pm, to discuss feminist topics and literature. All Spanish speaking levels are welcome.
Miércoles 29 de mayo a las 7 de la tarde. Este mes nos reuniremos para hablar sobre feminismo del norte de África .
Comentaremos el libro ‘Memorias de la cárcel de mujeres’, donde la escritora y doctora egipcia Nawal Al Saadawi habla sobre su experiencia durante el tiempo que estuvo encarcelada por su activismo político.
El encuentro será en el Queen Elisabeth Hall del Southbank Centre.

Wednesday, 29th of May at 7pm. This month we will meet to talk about North African feminism. We will discuss the book ‘Memoirs from the women’s prison’, where the Egyptian author and doctor Nawal Al Saadawi talks about the time she was incarcerated due to her political activism.
The meeting will be held in the Queen Elizabeth Hall of the Southbank centre (ground floor).
