Butch Lineages: Butch&Femme speed-dating

it’s our pleasure to present to you our first ever BUTCH-FEMME speed dating event! just a little something we planned so you know we’re keeping you close to our hearts. the night will feature:
– 5 minute limit per table
– little question sheets to keep the conversation popping
– non-alcoholic drinks and nibbles
– post-speeding time to mingle and chill
WHO IS THIS FOR?
anyone who identifies as a butch or femme dyke, come along! this is a Butch4Butch4Femme4Femme event – not exclusively B4F.
this is a DYKE space: inclusive of trans dykes, bisexual dykes, greyspec dykes, all of yers.
WHO isn’t THIS FOR?
no couples! no men! you will be turned away.
NOT A COSTUME EVENT!
WHAT SHOULD I BRING?
an icebreaker! whether that’s an item of clothing, a memento, or a crazy story. but it’s gotta be something you can use within the 5 minute time limit. FLAGGING OF ALL KINDS IS ENCOURAGED!
TO KEEP IN MIND:
– cut-off point for entry is 6:30pm. any latecomers will not be able to participate.
– this is a SOBER EVENT!
– we are expecting honesty from participants towards other participants. be brave and upfront!
– if we suspect anyone of bad faith or inappropriate behaviour, you may be asked to leave
ACCESSIBILITY:
The Feminist Library is 100% groundfloor and wheelchair accessible. There is an accessible toilet, breakout space, and office to lock up valuables.
for those worrying about hopping from table to table, we have a system specifically so – for example – anyone with limited mobility doesn’t have to move, but will still meet as many participants as possible.
