HOWL – reclaiming 50 years of Women’s Liberation
Tuesday 24th March – 7pm, Feminist Library
Did you know that the very first Women’s Liberation group in Britain started in Peckham? Have you ever wondered how we organised ourselves before the Internet? What was it like to be the only woman working on your building site? Did you really pull your knickers down and stare up each other’s vaginas? Where was the women’s motor mechanics workshop? Come and explore these and other fascinating bits of feminist history with HOWL – a group of women who are working to gather the History Of Women’s Liberation, to make sure that our generation doesn’t get hidden from history again.
