New Volunteers at the Feminist Library

On Tuesday we had a wonderful introduction meeting with a group of new volunteers, who are keen to get involved in the library as we build up to our 40th anniversary celebrations. During the meeting, we explained the history of the library, its purpose and values.

Volunteers can help out in areas such as Events, Social Media, Fundraising, Outreach, Collections etc. Needless to say, trainee librarians are also very welcome.

Gemma from the Events team explains the history of the library to new volunteers.

Volunteers can come in as often as they can manage: there’s no obligation to commit to any amount of hours. We are quite an informal bunch!

Volunteering at the library is also a great way to meet likeminded people! If you’d like to find out more about volunteering with us, please email: volunteer@feministlibrary.co.uk. Our next volunteer induction meeting is on Thursday 11 December at 6.30pm. See you there.
