sick n tired queers social

Feminist Library, 161 Sojourner Truth Centre SE15 6JL

we are sickntired, and we invite you to our disabled queers london social! free to attend, just turn up πŸ‘Œ

SUNDAY 11TH MAY
1PM – 5PM
THE FEMINIST LIBRARY, 161 SUMNER ROAD, LONDON, SE15 6JL

our goal is for this social to be as accessible as possible (though we know that access clashes exist, so we’ll be keeping it transparent and realistic to our own capacities). if there is access info you need that hasn’t been mentioned, feel free to ask us in comments or DM. we will also be putting up an FAQ soon, so if you have any other questions let us know πŸ™‚

we are a very small team of chronically ill crips, who have gotten pissed off & been disappointed, repeatedly, about the lack of disability access and solidarity in queer socials, events, nightlife, and even the wider queer community itself. we are aware of a few online socials for disabled queers, but did not know of any IRL spaces for us. so, here we are, hoping to create a physical space where we can meet, make friends, laugh, discuss theory & current events, and organise together. it’s possible that we may need to change venues at some point due to the variability in our current venue’s availability, but at the moment we plan to hold socials on the second sunday of every month. we hope to see you there πŸ’›

Contact sickntired at @sickntiredqueers on Instagram, and find info about their access considerations.

The Feminist Library is step-free and level throughout. Our toilets are gender neutral, our wheelchair accessible toilet does not require a radar key.
