Tech Day Review

Tech Day
On the 25th November we held the first of a series of Feminism and Tech events, launching a new technical programme for women and girls at the Library. We hosted a number of women in tech groups, including 23 Code Street, Inspiring Women in Data Science, and FemTechTalks, as well as academics, professionals, filmmakers and journalists. We had panels, workshops and film screenings. And the discussions were truly inspiring. We have made new friends and recruited new volunteers for our tech team. And we have already made an impact – we hear that our Feminism and Tech event has inspired one London university to start a feminist tech society of their own!

Next year, we are launching a whole programme of events dedicated to the topic. If you are interested in taking part or being part of our tech team making this happen, please get in touch: tech@feministlibrary.co.uk.
