Reading Revolting Prostitutes: The Fight for Sex Worker’s Rights

Due to a few reasons including the current crisis, we have decided not to run HerStories, our English Language book club, in May. But we are looking forward to our June book club, where we’ll be reading Revolting Prostitutes: The Fight for Sex Worker’s Rights, in honour of International Sex Worker’s Day (which takes place on the 2nd of June).

Written by sex workers Juno Mac and Molly Smith, Revolting Prostitutes bring a fresh perspective to questions that have long been contentious. Speaking from a growing global sex worker rights movement, they situate their argument firmly within wider questions of migration, work, feminism, and resistance to white supremacy to address a multitude of topics relating to the political, social and legal rights of sex workers.

You don’t need to finish the book – or even like it! Just join us on a Zoom call (details to be shared shortly) for some fun, friendly book-chat with like-minded people. Email: herstoriesbookclub@gmail.com.
